(My Philosophical Evolution) This version (2.0) is my inner work of systematic deconstruction, deconversion, uprooting, and dredging up a lifetime of deep-seated conditioning, ingrained beliefs, and embedded dogma, much of which has been unconscious; discerning trash from treasures and thoughtfully reconstructing a world and life view that reflects the shape of my heart. As I go deeper and beyond, answers fade into questions, certainty into uncertainty, knowing into unknowing.

People that have the answers may not be facing reality in their own lives. Having the answers allows us to turn away from ourselves and others, put on the façade of certainty, and walk away. Certainty is a comfortable thing; sort of a god to many people. But considering the puniness of the human mind, the sliver of human knowledge, the tiny grains of wisdom, our answers are dust in the wind.

Considering the vastness of the universe, the billions of galaxies, the eternity of time, the complexity of our puny minds . . . and we think we know? We think we have the answers? We are quick to speak and slow to listen (slow to learn). And we think we know? Not only know, but know for sure???

The exhaustion and heartbreak of the innerwork of deconstruction and deconversion

The process of progress toward integrity is very difficult inner work. Each word I write is full of heartbreak and freedom, sorrow and joy.

I didn't choose this path. It chose me and would not let go. I was content being who I was and who I was raised to be. But the cognitive dissonance and dis-integrity (disintegration) would not let me just be me.

This evolution of thought and belief was a painful revolution that would not leave me be. It was a quiet insurgency of the new over the old, reality over illusion, freedom over dogma, truth over conditioning; a lifelong process.

Living with Open Hands

Going deeper, piercing the facade, discerning and letting go of dogma, assumptions, and conditioning.

Discover the truth wherever it may be found.

Refine the truth within through the fire of discernment.

Follow the truth wherever it may take you.

Remember what you already know.

I have NO interest in convincing others to think in any certain way. Anything I post is simply something to think about. Everything I post is continually progressing and evolving so expect nothing to be static and all to dynamic. So don’t hold me to it. Just take it or leave it. But…

I AM interested in these three things:

1) That we all think and do what we know down deep is the right thing

2) That we all honor and respect that in others

3) That we all seek to understand more than to be understood.
